The Kathmandu valley’s World Heritage sites and the lakeside town of Pokhara under the Annapurna range. Darshan at Pashupatinath, the great stupa of Boudhanath, the hilltop Swayambhunath and the medieval squares of Bhaktapur — then sunrise from Sarangkot and a boat on Phewa Lake.

Itinerary

Day1
Airport pick-up and check-in. Evening at Pashupatinath for the aarti on the banks of the Bagmati.

Day2
Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Boudhanath stupa, with time for momos in Thamel.

Day3
Drive along the Trishuli river to Pokhara (about 200 km, 6–7 hours), or take the 25-minute flight. Evening on the Lakeside.

Day4
Pre-dawn drive to Sarangkot for sunrise over Machhapuchhre and the Annapurnas. Later: Davis Falls, Gupteshwor cave and a boat to Tal Barahi temple.

Day5
Return to Kathmandu and spend the afternoon in Bhaktapur’s Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square and pottery square.

Transfer to the airport.

- Indian nationals do not need a visa for Nepal; carry a passport or voter ID card.
- Indian ₹500 and higher notes are not accepted in Nepal — carry ₹100 notes or exchange money.
